Have you ever noticed how a simple change in your environment can completely transform your energy? Last weekend, I experienced this phenomenon firsthand during a getaway to New Hampshire, and I'm still riding the wave of that energetic shift.
My NH Reset!
Let me paint the scene: After weeks of creating content, coaching calls, and the beautiful energy that comes with running a business, I felt that familiar heaviness settling in. My creativity was starting to feel forced, and my energy reserves were dipping lower than I'd like to admit.
So I packed a small bag and headed north to the mountains of New Hampshire with my love. The moment I stepped out of the car and took that first breath of crisp mountain air, something shifted. The tall pines standing like ancient guardians, the sparkle of afternoon light on fresh snow, the absolute stillness that you can only find away from city life – it was like someone had hit the reset button on my entire energy system.
I spent two days hiking, meditating, feeling the wind by a frozen lake, and cozying up with tea and journals by a fireplace. No schedule, no notifications, no expectations. By Sunday evening, I returned home as if I'd been gone for weeks rather than days – refreshed, inspired, and reconnected to the part of me that always knows what to do next.
The Science of Environmental Energy
This experience reminded me of something I teach in my Multidimensional Manifestation™ Method: our energy is constantly in conversation with our environment. The spaces we inhabit aren't just physical locations – they're energetic fields that either drain or sustain us.
When we change our environment, we disrupt patterns, release stagnant energy, and create space for fresh inspiration and insights to flow in. It's not just a mental vacation – it's an energetic recalibration.
5 Mini-Environment Shifts for Maximum Energy Impact
Not everyone (including me!) can dash off to the mountains whenever they feel energetically drained (though I highly recommend it when you can!). Here are five accessible ways to create powerful environment shifts in your daily life:
1. The 20-Minute Nature Immersion
Research shows that just 20 minutes in nature significantly reduces stress hormones. Find a nearby park, garden, or even a tree-lined street, and give yourself permission to simply be there. Leave your phone behind or on airplane mode. Touch the bark of trees, notice the patterns of leaves, and breathe deeply. This brief communion with the natural world can reset your nervous system and clear energetic blocks that build up in artificial environments.
2. The Room Rearrangement Ritual
Our homes hold energetic imprints of our experiences, thoughts, and emotions. When you feel stuck, try rearranging one room in your house. Move furniture, change the direction your desk faces, or simply relocate key items to new positions. This physical shift disrupts the energetic patterns that have formed in your space, creating room for fresh perspectives and new possibilities to emerge. One of my friends rearranged her bedroom a few weeks ago and it led to an unexpectedly beautiful healing with a family member on the other side!
3. The Sensory Sanctuary
Create a dedicated space in your home that engages all five senses in a way completely different from your usual environment. This might be a corner with a soft cushion, essential oils, beautiful crystals or objects to touch, calming music, and perhaps a small dish of something delicious like dark chocolate or berries. When you need an energy shift, spend 10 minutes fully immersed in this multi-sensory experience, allowing it to transport you energetically. Great to do with kiddos too!
4. The Digital Detox Zone
Designate one area of your home as completely technology-free. No phones, tablets, computers, or televisions allowed. Decorate this space with items that bring you joy and peace – perhaps books, art supplies, meditation cushions, or musical instruments. Spending time in this space automatically shifts your energy away from the constant bombardment of digital frequencies and allows your system to recalibrate to a more natural rhythm.
5. The Dawn or Dusk Ritual
The transitional times of dawn and dusk carry unique energetic qualities that can facilitate powerful shifts. Create a simple ritual of sitting outside or by a window during these times. Watch the day begin or end, noticing the changing light, the different sounds, and the shift in the atmosphere. This practice connects you to the natural cycles of the earth and can provide perspective that's difficult to access during the busy hours of the day. Also, amazing to reset you circadian rhythm post daylight savings.
Becoming a Master of Your Energy
As Masters of our Energy, we understand that we don't have to remain at the mercy of energetic depletion. We can consciously create shifts by changing our environment – whether it's a weekend in the mountains or a 0-minute ritual at home.
The key is recognizing when your energy needs refreshing and then taking intentional action to create that shift. Your environment isn't separate from you – it's an extension of your energetic field, and changing it can be one of the most powerful tools for transformation in your manifestation toolkit.
This week, I invite you to experiment with at least one environmental shift if you notice your energy dipping. Observe what happens, how it feels, and what insights or inspirations might arise from this simple but powerful practice.
Remember, Masters of Energy don't wait until they're completely depleted – they create intentional shifts at the first signs of energetic stagnation.
What environmental shift will you try this week?
I'd love to hear about your experiences – drop me a message and let me know how it goes!
